BY-LAW NO. 7,5_41
being a by-law to appoint a
salaried officer
WHEREAS Sections 215 (1) and (2), 218 (1) and 226 (1)
of the Municipal Act, R.S.O. 1970, Chapter 284, authorizes
Councils of all municipalities to appoint a Clerk-Treasurer
and Collector.
THEREFORE the Council of the Corporation of the
Village of Newcastle enacts as follows:
THAT Mrs. Jean McCullough be appointed to the positions
of Clerk-Treasurer and Tax Collector for the period of one
year commencing January first, nineteen hundred and seventy-
three or until a successor be appointed, at a salary of
$7,000.00 per annum and a car allowance of $500000 per
annum,
THAT the said Mrs. Jean McCullough shall perform the
duties of her office according to the By-Laws of the Village
of Newcastle and the Revised Statutes and or amendments of
the Province Of Ontario.
