BY -LAW 73 -17
Being a by -law to establish
the retention period of certain
records of the Corporation.
WHEREAS the documents and records hereinafter
referred to are of no further use or value to the Corporation
and it is deemed expedient to provide for their destruction;
THEREFORE BE IT ENACTED as a by -law of the Corporation
of the Village of Newcastle as follows:
1. Th- .Iat the receipts, vouchers, instruments, files or other
documents, records and papers must be kept by the Municipality
for the retention periods as set out in Schedule "A" hereto
annexed and forming part of this by -law, and following the expiry
of such periods the said documents may be destroyed.
2. This by -law will be effective on the day it receives the
approval of the Auditor of the Corporation.
