By -Law No. 72 -45
A by -law respecting the ballots for the election
to the offices of Mayor, Reeve and Deputy Reeve.
WHEREAS Subsection 2 of Section 42 of the Municipal Elections Act
provides for the use of a composite ballot for the offices of Mayor,
Reeve and Deputy Reeve.
AND WHEREAS Subsection 5 of Section 42 of the Municipal Act provides
for the use of separate ballots for the said office if Council passes an
authorising by -law prior to November lst in Election year, which by -law
shall remain in force until repealed.
THEREFOR the Council of the Corporation of the Town of Bowmanville
enacts as follows:
THAT the ballots for an election to the offices of Mayor, Reeve and
Deputy Reeve shall be prepared in separate sets.
