TOWN OF BOWMANVILLE
By -Law No. 72 -24
To appoint a Treasurer and Tax Collector
WHEREAS upon the vacancy created by the resignation of Bruce W. Collins,
Treasurer and Tax Collector;
AND WHEREAS it is desirable to appoint future responsibilities and duties
of the above post;
NOW THEREFORE the Council of the Corporation of the Town of Bowmanville,
pursuant to the provisions of Sections 218 and 226 of The Municipal Act,
R.S.O., 1970, Chapter 284, hereby ENACTS AS FOLLOWS:
1. That Joseph F. Descent be and is appointed as Treasurer for the
Town of Bowmanville.
2. That the said Joseph F. Descent be and is appointed Tax Collector for
the Town of Bowmanville.
3. That the said Joseph F. Descent shall be paid such sums annually for
his services as the Council, from time to time, shall determine.
4. That any by -law which is not consistent with this by -law be and is
hereby repealed.
5. That this by -law shall become effective on Jun.e.5tli, 1972.
READ a first, second and third time and finally passed this 5th day of June, 1972.
