A by-law to amend By-law 1845,
being a by-law to permit Sunday
Movies and Sports®
1THEREAS By -law 1845, passed on the 19th day of
March, 191621 approved the submission of the following question
to a vote of the Municipal Electors:
"Are you in favour of moving pictures,
theatrical performances., concerts and
lectures after 1:30 o'clock in the
afternoon of the Lord's Day (Ontario)
Act, 1960 -61?";
AND 'W'HEREAS the said electors indicated their
approval of the said question by a vote of 637 for and 457
against;
AND V4THEREAS By-law 1845 passed on the 7th day of
May, 1962 refers only to moving pictures in addition to
certain sports;
AND WHEREAS it is the opinion of Council that it was
the intention to include theatrical performances, concerts and
lectures to be permitted on a Sunday;
NOW THEREFORE the Council of the Corporation of the
Town of Bomianville hereby ENACTS AS FOLLOIVS:
1. That Section 5 of By-law 1845 be amended by including the
words "theatrical performances, concerts and lectures"
after the words "moving pictures" appearing in the first
line of the said Section 5.
