By -Law No. 70 -22
A by -law to authorize the construction of
drying beds to accept treated sludge from
the sewage treatment plant and to repeal
By-Lau, No. 69 -21.
WHEREAS the Bowmanville Public Utilities Commission have
recommended the construction of an extension to sludge drying facilities
at the sewage treatment plant;
NOW THEREFORE the Council of the Corporation of the Town of
Bowmanville pursuant to the provisions of Section 379 (1) 52 of The
Municipal Act R.S.O. 1960, Chapter 249, hereby ENACTS AS FOLLOWS:
1. That drying beds having an area of approximately 25,000 square
feet to accept treated sludge from the sewage treatment plant
be constructed at an estimated cost of $85,000.
2. That the Mayor and Clerk be and are hereby authorized to do all
acts and sign all documents and affix the corporate seal of the
Town hereto as may be necessary in connection with making contracts
and other matters for the completion of the said undertaking.
3. That the debentures to be issued for the loan to be effected to
pay for the cost of the work when completed shall bear interest
at a rate to be determined and payable within I, year.
4. This by -law shall not take effect until it receives approval of
the Ontario Municipal Board.
5. That By -Law No. 69 -21, passed on the 5th day of August, 1969, be
repealed.
READ a first, second and third time and finally passed this day
of IV 1 , 1970.
