BY -LAW NO. 1991
A by -law to accept a conveyance of land for
road purposes from the Ontario Department
of Highways.
WHEREAS in a letter dated March 15, 1966 the Department
of Highways offered to convey to the Corporation of the Town of
Bowmanville, part of Lot 13, Concession 1 formerly in the Township
of Darlington now in the Town of Bowmanville.
AND WHEREAS the Council of the Corporation of the Town of
Bowmanville by Resolution #C -212 passed at a meeting held on the
4th day of April, 1966, applied to acquire the strip of land on
the west side of Clinton Street in the said Lot 13, Concession 1
for road purposes.
AND WHEREAS in a letter dated October 12, 1966 the Property
Committee of the Department of Highways has approved the conveyance
of the said strip of land.
NOW THEREFORE the Council of the Corporation of the Town of
Bowmanville ENACTS as follows:
1. That the Corporation of the Town of Bowmanville accept the
conveyance by Her Majesty the Queen in right of the Province of
Ontario, represented by the Minister of Highways, for the Province
of Ontario, of a portion of Lot 13, Concession 1 (also known as
Block nC» and Coleman Street) formerly in the Township of Darlington
now in the Town of Bowmanville and shown as Part 1 on Department of
Highways Plan P- 16$0 --26.
2. That the Mayor and Clerk be authorized to sign any documents
required to effect the acquiring of said lands.
