Home My WebLink About1961� t THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWN OF BOWMANVILLE BY -LAW NO. 1961 A By -law to provide for exemption of farm lands from taxation for certain expenditures. WHEREAS certain lands held and used as farm lands only are not benefited to as great an extent by the expenditure of monies for and on account of public improvements as other lands in the municipality. NOW THEREFORE the Council of the Corporation of the Town of Bowmanville under the provisions of Section 37 of the Assessment Act, R.S.O. 1960, Chapter 23, hereby ENACTS AS FOLLOWS: THAT the lands in the Town of Bowmanville described in Schedule "A" attached hereto, and forming part of this by -law, used as farm lands only and assessed in blocks of five acres or more, shall be exempted from taxation for the year 1966 for the expenditures of the municipality incurred for sidewalks. Read a first and second time this 21st day of February, 1966. Read a third time and finally passed this 21st day of February, 1966.
