BY-LAW 99-70
Being a by-law to amend By-law 98-51,
To appoint Members of the Clarington
Public Library Board
WHEREAS Section 9 (1) of the Public Libraries Act, 1984, provides that a
public library board for a municipality whose population is less than 100,000
shall be composed of at least five (5) and no more than nine (9) members
appointed by the Municipal Council;
AND WHEREAS pursuant to the requirements of the Public Libraries Act,
1984, the Council of the Corporation of the Municipality of Clarington enacted
By-law 85-85, establishing the composition of the Newcastle Public Library
Board;
NOW THEREFORE THE COUNCIL OF THE CORPORATION OF THE
MUNICIPALITY OF CLARINGTON HEREBY ENACTS THAT By-law 98-51 is
amended as follows:
1. Deleting the name of"Warner Geo. Fehn" and replacing it with the name
"Jane M. Bryant."
By-law read a first and second time this 31 st day of May 1999
By-law read a third time and finally passed this 31St day of May 1999
