A By-Law of the Municipal Opunoil of the Town of Bowmonville to,
Authorize the construction of a watermhCh on see and Street and.
lambs Lane as a Local Improvement under the provisions of the
local Improvement Act.
VniEREAS George Graham and others have petite oned the Council
to construct as a Local Improvement the works hereinafter
described and the Clerk has certified that the petition .is
sufficiently signed, and it is expedient to grant the prayer of the
petition in manner hereinaft er ', provided.
THEREFORE the' Municipal Council of the Torn df Bowmdnville '
enacts as follows;
First,
That a four .1hoh Iron Pipe be laid on Second Street from
Elgin Street to Prospect street and a two inch Galvanized
Iron Pipe be laid on Lamb's Lane 218 feet southerly with
connection with . the main on Second Street.

That J.M. Kennedy, as Engineer of the Corporation of the
Town of Bowmanvilla do forthwith make such plans, prt�files,
and spe, c i f i cat i ons and , furni sh such i of o rmat i on as may be
necessary for the making of ' a contract f or t he execution
of t he work.

That the work shall be carried on and - execiut :ed under the

Engineer.

That the debentures t o be issued for it lie. loan , to be effected
t o pay for t e cost of the work when completed, shall bear.

within twenty years on the Installment plan.

Any.-person whose lot is specially assessed may .commute for a
payment in' cash the special rates imposed thereon, by paying
the portion of the cost of construction assessed upon such lot,
without the interest, forthwith after the Special Assessment
Roll has been certified by the Clerk, and. , at. any time thereafter
by the payment of such samas, when invested. at Four p eT cent
per annum, will provide an annuity su.gfIcien t to pay the special
p mates for the unexpired portion of the term as they fall due.
