~Jhereas The Public Libraries Act, R.S.O. 1960, Chap. 325,
and The Public Libraries Act, 1966, Chap. 12$, provides
that where a public library heretofore established for
a police village is being operated, the Council of the
municipality in which the public library of the police
village is situate shall establish a public library,
and on the day the board for such public library is
organized, the public library board of the police village
is dissolved and its assets and liabilities become assets
and liabilities of the public library board of the
municipality,
And ti~lzereas "The Orono Public Library" is a public library
established for the Police Village of Orono;
i10'rv THEREFORE be it duly enacted by the Council of the
Corporation of the Township of Clarke;
1. THAT a Public Library be established in accordance
with the provisions of The Public Libraries Act and
amendments thereto and the same is hereby established and
shall be knovrn as "The Township of Clarke Public Library".
2. TiiAT A Public Library Board be and is hereby established
for the tiaho'le of the Township of Clarke, same to become
effective on the First day of January, 1967.
3. THAT the Council of the Township of Clarke shall make
the necessary appointments to the Board by resolution of
Council.
~.. THAT By-Law 1?~l$ of The Corporation of the Township of
Clarke pertaining to "The Orono Public Library" be and is
hereby repealed effective on the Thirty-first day of
December, 1966.
5. THAT this by-law shall come into full force and effect
