The Council of the Corporation of the Municipality of Clarke enacts as follows: DEFINITIONS For the purpose of this by-law:- Park means the standing of a vehicle, whether occupied or not, other- wise~han temporarily for the purpose of and while actually engaged in loading or unloading. Street or Hi hwa~ includes a common or public highway, street, avenue, par way, r veway, square, glace, bridge, viaduct or trestles designed and intended for, or used by, the genere~l public for the passage of vehicles. Vehicle means every device in, upon or by which any person or property s or may be transported or drawn upon a highway, except devices moved by human power. METHOD OF PARKING No person shall park _a vehicle on any street other than a one~way street unless on the right hand side of the street, having regard for the direction in which the vehicle had been proceeding and unless the right front and right rear wheels or runners of the vehicle are parallel to and distant respectively not more than six inches from the edge of the roadway. PARKING RESTRICTIONS From May 1st to October 31st inclusive each year parking shall be restricted when properly worded signs have been erected and are on display, no person shall park a vehicle on the highways or parts of highways herelnafter set out in Column 1 for a longer period of time than that set out in Column 2:- Column 1 (a) The road bounded by Lots 32 and 33: Concessions IX and K. (b) The road running east and west on the north limit of Lots 33, 34 and 35, Concession IX, and on the south limit of Lots 33, 34, and 35 in Concession ~. PE- Column 2__ Frorn 8.00 a.m. to 7.00 p.m. on Saturdays and public holidays. Any person violating any of the provisions of this by-law shall be subject to a penalty of not more than Ten Dollars ($10.00) for the first offence and not more than Fifty Dollars 030.00) for every subsequent offence, exclusive of costs, and all such penalties shall be recoverable under the Ontario Summary Convictions Act. This by-law shall not become effective until approved by the Department of Transport. By-Law No. 1381 is hereby repealed.
