BY-LAW NO. 2009 - 080
Being a By-law to appoint individuals as
Parking Enforcement Officers for Private Property
WHEREAS Section 15(1) of the Police Services Act R.S.O. 1990 Chapter P15,
authorizes a Council of any Municipality to appoint one or more persons who
shall be peace officers for the purpose of enforcing the by-laws of the
Municipality; and
WHEREAS it is desirable to appoint Carole Soucie, Daniel Shody and William
Brookes as Parking Enforcement Officers for the sole purpose of enforcing the
Traffic By-law of the Municipality of Clarington on the properties located at 47
Liberty Street South, Bowmanville, 72 Martin Road, Bowmanville, 2800 Courtice
Road North, Courtice, 1651 - 1669 Nash Road, Courtice and 1414 King Street
West, Courtice, in the Municipality of Clarington;
NOW THEREFORE the Council of the Corporation of the Municipality of
Clarington hereby enacts as follows:
1. Carole Soucie, Daniel Shohdy and William Brookes are hereby appointed
as Parking Enforcement Officers for the sole purpose of enforcing the
Traffic By-law of the Municipality of Clarington on the properties located at
47 Liberty Street South, Bowmanville, 72 Martin Road, Bowmanville, 2800
Courtice Road North, Courtice, 1651 - 1669 Nash Road, Courtice and
1414 King Street West, Courtice, in the Municipality of Clarington.
2. This By-law shall come into full force and effective immediately on the day
of Final passing by Council.
3. This appointment as a Parking Enforcement Officer shall remain in effect
for the duration of their term of employment with Group 4 Securicor.
