THE CORPORATION OF THE MUNICIPALITY OF ClARINGTON
BY-lAW NO. 2008-096
being a By-law to authorize the execution of
Minutes of Settlement of the action commenced by
Macourtice Developments Inc. against
the Municipality of Clarington and
the Satisfaction Piece contained in Schedule B to
the Minutes of Settlement
WHEREAS at its regular meeting on June 9, 2008 Council approved a
memorandum from the Municipality's Solicitor dated June 3, 2008 which, among
other things, recommended approval of the Minutes of Settlement of the action
commenced by Macourtice Developments Inc. which are attached to the
memorandum;
NOW THEREFORE THE COUNCil OF THE CORPORATION OF THE
MUNICIPALITY OF ClARINGTON HEREBY ENACTS AS FOllOWS:
1. That the Minutes of Settlement of the action commenced by Macourtice
Developments Inc. against the Municipality of Clarington attached to the
memorandum from the Municipality's Solicitor to Council dated June 3,
2008 are approved.
2. That the Mayor and the Municipal Clerk on behalf of the Municipality of
Clarington are authorized to execute the Minutes of Settlement referred to
in paragraph 1.
3. That the Mayor and the Municipal Clerk on behalf of the Municipality of
Clarington are authorized to execute the Satisfaction Piece contained in
Schedule B to the Minutes of Settlement.
