THE CORPORATION OF THE MUNICIPALITY OF CLARINGTON
BY-LAW NO. 2008-081
being a By-law to authorize entering into an agreement
between Durham Region EMS and the
Corporation of the Municipality of Clarington
WHEREAS the Ministry of Health and Long Term Care and the Ministry of Community Safety
and Correctional Services support the implementation of formal tiered response agreements
between local police, fire, ambulance and other public or private safety agencies;
AND WHEREAS Clarington Emergency and Fire Services has participated in tiered response,
which was initiated in the 1980's and was set up to dispatch police, fire and ambulance to what
is determined to be a life threatening situation;
NOW THEREFORE THE COUNCIL OF THE CORPORATION OF THE
MUNICIPALITY OF CLARINGTON HEREBY ENACTS AS FOLLOWS:
1. That the Mayor and Municipal Clerk be authorized to execute the attached Durham
Region Medical Tiered Response Agreement between Durham Region EMS and the
Corporation of the Municipality of Clarington.
BY-LAW read a first time this 6th day of May, 2008
BY-LAW read a second time this 6th day of May, 2008
BY-LAW read a third time and finally passed this 6th day of May, 2008
