HomeMy WebLinkAbout96-66 THE CORPORATION OF THE MUNICIPALITY OF CLARINGTON BY-LAW NO. 96-66 being a by-law to authorize the closure and conveyance of part of the forced road in Lots 15, Concession 5, former Township of Darlington, Municipality of Clarington, to William Gary Eeuwes and Catherine Mary Eeuwes WHEREAS Council, at its meeting of February 26, 1996, authorized advertisement of a Public Hearing, as required by the Municipal Act, to close and convey part of the forced road in Lots 15, Concession 5, former Township of Darlington, designated as Part 1, Plan 40R-16744 ; WHEREAS Council, at its meeting of February 26, 1996, passed By-law No. 96-49, being a by-law to exempt the Municipality from the requirement of By-law 95-22 to obtain an Appraisal of Fair Market Value; WHEREAS Council, at its meeting of February 19, 1996, declared the property to be surplus and established the selling price at the nominal fee of $2 . 00, plus costs; WHEREAS notice of Council' s intention was sent to the Regional Municipality of Durham by Registered Mail on March 19, 1995 and approval was received by the Clerk by Registered Mail on March 22, 1996; WHEREAS the notice of a Public Hearing to be held by Council to consider this by-law was advertised in the local newspaper on February 28, March 6, 13 , 20, 1996 ; NOW THEREFORE BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CORPORATION OF THE MUNICIPALITY OF CLARINGTON that part of the forced road in Lot 15, Concession 5, former Darlington Township, designated as Part 1, Plan 40R-16744 is hereby closed and authorized to be conveyed to William Gary Eeuwes and Catherine Mary Eeuwes . BY-LAW read a first and second time this 25th day of March, 1996 . BY-LAW read a third time and finally passed this 25th day of March 1996 . MAYOR CLERK
