BY-LAW NUMBER 96- 64
being a By-law to amend By-law 94-129, a By-
law to define the purchasing and tendering
policies and procedures applying to the
purchase of all types of goods, works and
services by the Corporation of the
Municipality of Clarington, and to repeal By-
law #82-96 and #83-16 .
WHEREAS the Council of the Corporation of the Municipality of
Clarington has adopted the recommendations contained within Report
#TR-13-96 to address employees or members of Council bidding on the
supply of municipal goods or services.
NOW THEREFORE THE COUNCIL OF THE CORPORATION OF THE MUNICIPALITY OF
CLARINGTON ENACTS AS FOLLOWS :
1 . THAT By-law 94-129, is amended by adding the following to
Paragraph 5, Item 5 . 15 :
"No employee or member of Council of the Municipality shall
sell goods or services to the Municipality or have a direct or
indirect interest in a Company or own a Company which sells
goods or services to the Municipality. "
2 . THAT this by-law shall be effective immediately.
By-law read a first and second time this 25th day of March, 1996 .
By-law read a third time and finally passed this 25th day of March,
1996 .
