BY-LAW 96- 165
being a by-law to amend By-law 92-105 which imposed
development charges;
WHEREAS By-law 92-105 stipulates that the said by-law will expire 5 years after the date
it comes into force;
WHEREAS By-law 92-105 will expire on March 22, 1997;
WHEREAS the Land Use Planning and Protection Act (Bill 20) empowers the Municipality
to amend its current development charge by-law to remove any reference to an
expiration date for the by-law;
WHEREAS the Council of the Municipality of Clarington approved the recommendations
contained in Report PD-113-96, and deems it necessary to amend its current by-law to
remove the reference to expiry date in By-law 92-105;
NOW THEREFORE the Council of the Corporation of the Municipality of Clarington
enacts as follows:
1. Part II, Paragraph 11 of By-law 92-105 is hereby amended by deleting the said
paragraph in its entirety.
BY-LAW read a first time this 16th day of September 1996.
BY-LAW read a second time this 16th day of September , 1996.
BY-LAW read a third time and finally passed this 16th day of September , 1996.
