THE CORPORATION OF THE
TOWN OF NEWCASTLE
BY-LAW NO. 78-121
being a by-law to authorize the sale of property
as more particularly hereinafter described, to
Ontario Hydro.
WHEREAS Ontario Hydro wish to purchase the property more partic-
ularly hereinafter described;
AND WHEREAS the Corporation of the Town of Newcastle is willing
to sell the property more particularly hereinafter described to
Ontario Hydro;
NOW THEREFORE, be it enacted by the Council of the Corporation of
the Town of Newcastle as follows:-
1.
The Corporation of the Town of Newcastle shall sell to
Ontario Hydro for the sum of $30,000. land described as
follows:
ALL AND SINGULAR that certain parcel or tract of land and
premises situate lying and being in the Town of Newcastle,
in the Regional Municipality of Durham, Province of Ontario
and being composed of all that portion of the whole of Lots
Seven (7), Eight (8) and Nine (9) and part of Lot Six (6)
in Block F, and parts of Lots Six (6), Seven (7), Eight (8)
and Nine (9) in Block G, and part of unopened Smart Avenue
lying between said Blocks G and F, all within the Smart Estate
Plan of Part of Lot Nine (9) in the Broken Front Concession of
the Former Town of Bowmanville, more particularly designated
as Part One (1) according to Plan 10R853 deposited in the
Land Registry Office for the Registry Division of Newcastle
(#10) on August 2, 1978.
2. The Mayor and Clerk of the Corporation of the Town of
Newcastle are hereby authorized to sign and affix the
Corporate Seal on behalf o~ the Corporation, a deed
conveying the aforesaid property to Ontario Hydro.
BY-LAW READ a first and second time this 18th day of December, 1978
BY-LAW READ a third time and finally passed this 18th day of
December, 1978.
