CORPORATION OF THE TOWN OF NEWCASTLE
BY-LAW NUMBER 79- ~ ~
Being a by-law to amend By-Law No. 76-25 of the Corporation
of the Town of Newcastle, as amended by By-Law No. 76-67.
WHEREAS, the Council of the Corporation of the Town of Newcastle deems it
advisable to amend By-Law No. 76-25, as am~nded, of the Corporation of the
Town of Newcastle;
NOW THEREFORE, the Council of the Corporation of the Town of Newcastle
ENACTS as follows:-
1. Section 4 of By-Law No. 76-25, as amended, is hereby further amended
by deleting subsection (3)(b) thereof and replacing the said
subsection as follows:-
"No illwninated sign which uses the colours red, green or amber
shall be located within 150 feet of a traffic control signal
nor within 150 feet of an intersection of 2 or more streets,
except by special Resolution of Council. This provision shall
not apply to signs located more than 45 feet from any street
line."
