HomeMy WebLinkAbout88-97 THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWN OF NEWCASTLE BY-LAW NUMBER 88- 91 being a by-law to authorize the establishment of Bank Accounts WHEREAS the council of the corporation of the Town of Newcastle deem it advisable to establish bank accounts in the name of the Corporation of the Town of Newcastle. NOW THEREFORE Be It Resolved That the Council of the Corporation of the Town of Newcastle enacts as follows: 1. That the Treasurer of the Town of Newcastle is hereby authorized and instructed to establish Bank Accounts in the name of the corporation of the Town of Newcastle with the following Chartered Bank of Canada:- Bank of Nova Scotia West Castle plaza Branch Courtice, Ontario 2. That the transfer of all funds and securities from the Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce to the Bank of Nova Scotia shall be executed by the Treasurer effective August 1, 1988. 3. That the Mayor and the Treasurer or Deputy Treasurer are hereby authorized for and in the name of the corporation to sign, make, draw, accept, endorse and deliver cheques, promissory notes, bills of exchange, orders for payment of money and such agreements and instruments as may be necessary or useful in connection with the operation of said accounts. 4. That the signatures of the Mayor and Treasurer on any cheques issued by the corporation may be written or engraved, lithographed, printed or otherwise mechanically reproduced upon such cheques. 5. That the necessary banking resolutions and agreements respecting the operation of accounts as may be amended from time to time be executed. 6. That By-law no. 87-97 be repealed.
