THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWN OF NEWCASTLE
BY-LAW NUMBER 88- 83
being a By-law to amend By-law 84-63, the Comprehensive Zoning By-law of
the Corporation of the Town of Newcastle.
WHEREAS the Council of the Corporation of the Town of Newcastle deems it
advisable to amend By-law 84-63, as amended, of the Corporation of the Town
of Newcastle.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT the Council of the Corporation of the
Town of Newcastle enacts as follows:
1. Section 17.5 "Neighbourhood commercial Exception (C2-1)" zone of
By-law 84-63, as amended, is hereby further amended by adding the
following:
"17.5.1 NEIGHBOURHOOD COMMERCIAL EXCEPTION (C2-l) ZONE
Notwithstanding Section 17.1 those lands zoned "C2-l" on the
Schedules to this By-law may, in addition to other uses permitted in
the "C2" zone, permit a veterinary Clinic. For the purposes of this
Subsection, a veterinary Clinic shall mean a building or part of a
building in which facilities are provided for the prevention, cure
and alleviation of disease and treatment of injury to animals. The
placement of building and structures shall be SUbject to the
regulations set out in Section 17.5.1 (a), (b), (c) and (d)."
2. This By-law shall come into effect on the date of passing hereof,
subject to the provisions of Section 34 of the Planning Act.
