THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWN OF NEWCASTLE
BY -lAW 88- 64
being a by-law to stop-up and close and to
authorize the sale of those portions of the
unopened road allowances~ described as Part
of Edsall Avenue and Part of Rehder Avenue~
as shown on Registered Plan No. 82~ in the
former Town of Bowmanville, now in the Town
of Newcastle~ designated as Part 1 and Part
2~ Plan 10R-2517
WHEREAS the Council of the Corporation of the Town of Newcastle deems
~t desirable to pass this by-law;
AND WHEREAS notice of intention of the Council of the Corporation of
the Town of Newcastle to pass the said by-law in accordance with the
requirements of Section 301, Chapter 302 of the Municipal Act, R.S.O.
1980, was published in the Canadian Statesman on April 20th, April 27th,
May 4th and May 11th 1988;
AND WHEREAS notice of the~,intention of Counci 1 to pass this by-law was
sent by Registered Mail to the Regional Municipality of Durham on the
18th day of April 1988, and the Regional Municipality of Durham granted
approval to the proposed by-law by letter dated the 6th day of May 1988.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT ENACTED AND IT IS HEREBY ENACTED AS A BY-lAW OF THE
CORPORATION OF THE TOWN OF NEWCASTLE AS FOllOWS:
1. Part of thetunopened road allowances described as Part of
Edsall Avenue and Part of Rehder Avenue, as shown on Registered
Plan No. 82, in the former Town of Bowmanville, now in the Town
of Newcastle, hereinafter described, are hereby stopped up and
closed;
All AND SINGULAR THOSE certain parcels or tracts of land and
premises situate, lying and being in the Town of Newcastle,
Regional Municipality of Durham, Province of Ontario, and
being composed of the unopened road allowances described as
Part of Edsall Avenue and Part of Rehder Avenue, according
to Registered Plan No. 82 of the former Town of Bowmanville,
more particularly designated as Part 1 and Part 2, according
to Plan 10R-2517, deposited in the Land Registry Office for
the Registry Division of Newcastle (No. 10), on April 3rd 1987.
2. All THOSE PORTIONS of the unopened road allowances hereinbefore
described shall be conveyed by the Corporation of the Town of
Newcastle.
By-law read a first and second time this 30th day of May 1988
By-law read a third time and finally passed this 30th day of May 1988
