THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWN OF NEWCASTLE
BY-LAW NUMBER 87- 69
being a By-law to amend By-law 76-24 of the Corporation of the
Town of Newcastle.
WHEREAS the Council of the Corporation of the Town of Newcastle deems
it advisable to amend By-law 76-24, as amended, in order to revise
the Schedule of Fees payable in respect of Building Permits.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT the Council of the Corporation of
the Town of Newcastle enacts as follows:
1. By-law 76-24 is hereby amended by deleting Schedule "A" in its
ent i rety and rep 1 aci ng same wi th a new Schedul e "A II as attached
as Schedule "X" hereto.
2. Schedul e "X II attached hereto shall form part of thi s By-1 aw.
3. This By-law shall come into effect on the date of passing
hereof.

CLASSES OF BUILDING PERMITS AND FEES
CLASSES OF PERMITS
PERMIT FEES
To construct a commercial or
industrial building or addition
to a building.
A minimum of $20.00 or $6.00 per
$1000 or portion thereof of the
total valuation of the work plus
applicable Plumbing Permit Fees.
To construct a residential
building or addition to a
building.
A minimum of $20.00 or $6.00 per
$1000 or portion thereof of the
to'tal val uation of the work pl us
applicable plumbing fees.
To demolish a building.
$20.00 or $6.00 per 1000 sq. ft.
of gross floor area or portion
thereof whichever is greater.
