THE CORPORATION OF THE MUNICIPALITY OF CLARINGTON
BY-LAW 94-tQ,?
being a by-law imposing special annual drainage
rates upon land in respect of which money is
borrowed under the Tile Drainage Act, R.S.O. 1990
and to Repeal By-law 94 -17 (former Town of Newcastle)
WHEREAS owners of land in the municipality have applied to the
Council under the Tile Drainage Act, R.S.O. 1990, for a loan for
the purpose of constructing sub-surface drainage works on such
land;
AND WHEREAS the Council of the Corporation of the Municipality of
Clarington has upon their application, lent the owners the total
sum of $15,400.00 to be repaid with interest by means of rates
hereinafter imposed;
BE IT THEREFORE ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CORPORATION OF THE
MUNICIPALITY OF CLARINGTON:
1. THAT annual rates as set out in Schedule "A" attached hereto
are hereby imposed upon such land for a period of ten (10)
years, such rates to be levied and collected in the same
manner as taxes; and
2. THAT By-law 94-17 is hereby repealed.
By-law read a first and second time this 11th day of July 1994.
By-law read a third time and finally passed this 11th day of July
1994.
