THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWN OF NEWCASTLE
BY-LAW 92-198
being a by-law to stop-up and close and authorize the
sale of part of the unopened road allowance between
Lots 32 and 33, Concession 6, former Township of
Clarke, Town of Newcastle, Parts 1 and 2, Plan
40R-14061
WHEREAS the Corporation of the Town of Newcastle deems it desirable to
stop-up and close a part of the road allowance between Lots 32 and 33,
Concession 6, former Township of Clarke, Town of Newcastle, and
authorizes the sale of said road allowance described as Parts 1 and 2,
Plan 40R-14061, to the abutting property owner (Hannu Halminen) in
accordance with the Municipal Act, R.S.O. 1980, c.302, s.316.
WHEREAS notice of the intention of Council to pass this by-law was
sent to the Regional Municipality of Durham on the 20th day of August,
1992, and the Regional Municipality of Durham granted approval of the
proposed by-law by letter dated the 10th day of September, 1992.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT ENACTED AND IT IS HEREBY ENACTED AS A BY -LAW OF
THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWN OF NEWCASTLE AS FOLLOWS:
1. Part of that portion of the unopened road allowance compr1s1ng
all and singular that certain parcel and tract of land and
premises, lying and being in the Town of Newcastle, in the
Regional Municipality of Durham, Province of Ontario, and being
composed of part of the road allowance between Lots 32 and 33,
Concession 6, former Township of Clarke, Town of Newcastle, more
specifically described as Parts 1 and 2 on Plan 40R-14061
deposited in the Land Registry Office for the Registry Division
of Durham (NO. 40) on February 17, 1992, is hereby stopped up and
closed.
2. The portion of the closed road referred to in Section 1, is
hereby authorized to be conveyed by the Corporation of the Town
of Newcastle to Hannu Halminen.
By-law read a first time this 14th day of September, 1992
By-law read a second time this 9th day of November 1992
By-law read a third time and finally passed this 9th day of
November 1992.

BY-LAW 93-6 ,
being a By-law to amend By-law #92-198, a
By-law to stop-up and close and authorize the
sale of part of the unopened road allowance
between Lots 32 and 33, Concession 6, former
Township of Clarke, Town of Newcastle, Parts 1
and 2, Plan 40R-14061
NOW THEREFORE THE COUNCIL OF THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWN OF
NEWCASTLE ENACTS AS FOLLOWS:
1. THAT By-law #92-198 be amended by deleting from the first
paragraph:
"the Municipal Act, R.S.O. 1980, c. 302,
s.316."
and replacing it with:
o "the Municipal Act, R.S.O. 1990, c. M. 45,
s. 315."
By-law read a first time this 11th day of January, 1993.
By-law read a second time this 11th day of January, 1993.,
By-law read a third time and finally passed this 11th day of
January, 1993.
