HomeMy WebLinkAbout85-20 THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWN OF NEWCASTLE BY -lAW 85- 20 being a by-law to stop-up and close and to authorize the sale of all.of the open lambert Street, between Queen Street and Prince Street, in the fonner Town of Bowmanville;.. now in the Town of Newcastle, designated as Part 2 on Reference Plan 10R-1858 WHEREAS the Council of the Corporation of the TOWn of Newcastle deems it desireable to pass this by-law; AND WHEREAS notice of intention of the Council of the Corporation of the Town of Newcastle to pass the said by-law in accordance with the requirements of Section 301t Chapter 302t of The Municipal Actt R.S.D. 1980t was published in the Canadian Statesman on January 16tht January 23rdt January 30tht and February 6th 1985; AND WHEREAS notice of the intention of the Council to pass this by-law was sent by registered mail to the Regional Municipality of Durham on the 2nd day of January 1985t and the Regional Municipality of Durham granted approval to the proposed by-law by letter dated the 15th day of January 1985. NOW THEREFORE BE IT ENACTED AND IT IS HEREBY ENACTED AS A BY-lAW OF THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWN OF NEWCASTLE AS FOllOWS: 1. All of the open Lambert Street Road Allowance lying between Queen Street and Prince Streett in the former Town of Bowmanville, now in the Town of Newcastle, hereinafter described, is hereby stopped-up and closed~ All AND SINGULAR that certain parcel or tract of land and premises, lying and being in the Town of Newcastle, in the Regional Municipality of Durhamt Province of Ontario, and being composed of that portion of opened lambert Streett between Queen Street and Prince Street, in the former Town of Bowmanville, more particularly designated as Part Two (2) on Plan 1DR-1858, deposited in the Land Registry Office for the Registry Division of Newcastle (No. 10), on July 10th 1984. 2. ALL that portion of the open road allowance hereinbefore described shall be conveyed by the Corpo~ation of the Town of Newcastle to abutting owners. By-law read a first and second time this 25th day of February 1985.
