Cunningham, Councillors Frank Hoar, Fred Couch, Alfred Gray ~Id Margaret Brereton. Res .)85 Moved by Councillor Couch, Seconded by Councillor Gray that minutes of meetings held May lOth, May 26th and June 1st be adopted as printed. Carried. Res .]86 Moved by Councillor Couch, Seconded by Councillor Brereton that the application for a vendor's license to operate a Fish & Chip truck in the Village of Newcastle be approved, subject to the approval of the Department of Health,providing the said truck does not stand or park on No. 2 highway. Carried. Res.)87 Moved by Councillor Gray, Seconded by Councillor Hoar that Kilborn Enginneering be instructed to make immediate application to the Division of Sanitary Engineering of the Ontario Water Resources Commission for a certificate of preliminary approval for water extension south of 401. Fire Chief, Fred Glanville and members of the Fire Department approached Council with regard to the necessity for a new fire station. Council advised that the Fire Department obtain information as to the possibility of constructing a fire station on the present location, also possible alternate locations, this information to be brought to a joint meeting with Council at a later date. ( Couch, Seconded by Councillor Gray that the Department, Health, Welfare and Building be Res.)92 Moved by Councillor Gray, Seconded by Councillor Hoar that it be hereafter resolved that the Council of the Corporation of the Village of Newcastle quit all claim, interests and reservations over that part of the one foot reserve shown on the north side of Sunset Boulevard, according to Registered Plan Number 656, more particularly designated as Parts 5 and 11 as shown on a Reference Plan deposited in the Registry Office for the West Riding of the County of Durham on June 11th, 1971 as Plan 10R82. Lovekin, report to the MuniCipal Baord advising that the objection of Banksia Investments Limited to By-Law No. 71-10 tit and amending By-Law No. 71-11 be considered invalid. Carried. Res.)94 Moved by Councillor Hoar, Seconded by Co~~cillor Brereton that By-Law 71-15 being a by-law to provide that Subsection 4 of Section 26 of The Planning Act as amended does not apply to certain lands in the Village of Newcastle be read a first time. Res.J96 Moved by Councillor Brereton, Seconded by Councillor Hoar that By-Law 71-15 be read a third time and finally passed. Carried. Res.J97 Moved by Councillor Gray, Seconded by Councillor Brereton that a request be made to the Public Utilities Com~ission to install a light at Bond Head Cemetery. Carried.
