A special meeting of the Bowmanville Town Council was held
on Thursday February 5, 1959 at 4: 30 F." . at the Town Hall
Bowmanville, Ontario.
Deputy-Reeve J. Brough, Councillor K. Lathangue, Councillor
L. Preston, Councillor K. Nicks were absent.
All others present.
Mayor W. Carruthers in the chair.
Moved by Councillor I. Hobbs,
Seconded by Councillor A. Sturrock,
And resolved that t~e mover be granted leave to introdlc4 a By-
Law to ratify and confirm the purchase of a parking lot between
Temperance and Division streets and south of Church street and
the sale of the R. M. Hollinsheds Co. Limited property at the
corner of Church and Division streets in the t::>vm of Bowmanville
be now read a first and second time.

Seconded by Councillor O. J. Presson,
And resolved that the Council now rise and go into the Committee
of the Whole for the consideration of three By-Laws and the
Mayor in the Chair.

And resolved that the Comnittee of the Whole now rise and report
favourable to Council on the By-Laws discussed in the Committee
of the ',I/hole.

Seconded by ~ouncillor I. Hobbs,
And resolved that a By-Law to amend the Zoning By-Law be now
read a third time passed and numbered By-Law number 1700.

And resolved that the mover be granted leave to introduce a By-Law
to ratify and confirm the purchase of a parking lot between
Temperance and Division streets and south of Church street and
the sale of the R. M. Hollin~sheds Co. Limited property at the
corner of Church and Division streets in the town of Bowmanville
be now read a third time past and numbered By-Law number 1712.

And resolved that a By-Law to authorize the conveyance of certain
lands to Carroll's limited be now read a third time passed and
numbered By-Law number 1713.
