Councillor K.Nicks assent. All others present. Mayor Caruthers in the Chair. The Mayor reported on the Town's operations for the year 1960. ADOPTION OF MINUTES Moved by Reeve Little, Seconded by Con. Hughes, That the Council Minutes dated December 19th/60, as printed, be and the same are hereby adopted. carried. CORRESPONDENCE .~ Bowmanville Chamber of Commerce - December 28th/60. "As many of you are aware, it has become our annual custom, when the financial results of our year's operations are known, to make as large a donation as possible to the Town in appreciation of our part-time use of the facilities of the Industrial Commission. You are aware of course, that our Chamber buys all of its own supplies, pays for its phone, and also paid for part of the office furniture. This year the Chamber had heavier than usual exuenses, the major items being Christmas Lighting and our 50~ share of the cost of the recent Industrial Luncheon. We think you will agree, however, that both these projects were of real value to our town, and we now take pleasure in enclosing our cheque for $250.00." " '\ Moved by Con. Presson. Seconded by Con. Fidelity Bond Council was informed that a blanket position bond covers all employees of the Town of Bo\~nanville. Treasurer - Other employees - 15,000.00 10,000.00 3. Board of Works meeting - January 31stj 1961. Moved by Con. Lathangue, Seconded by Con. Stevens, That ',I. Adams be requested to attend this meeting at 8:00 p.m. to discusss the gravel payment for 1960. carried. 5. Storm water entering sanitary sewers. Disconnect down spouts from roofs. Moved by Con. Presson, Seconded by Con. Fice, That the necessary by-law be prepared requesting that all down spouts be disconnected from the sanitary sewers. carried.
